Default Translation Files

I'll be adding a section to the site for translation files, so if you want to share them with the community, email them to webmaster [at] gaminglove [dot] net.
I'll add them to the site and be sure to mention who it was that contributed the file.

Remember, before you try to translate a file, make sure you have a backup copy before you start editing it.

With the new client, you'll have a translation file, the game reads the data off it and the text in the file will be used for the game, ie tokens, help stuff, etc.

I'm going to proofread it and repost it in English. I've noticed some typos in the help text. It's cool that the gamestrings are available, this is easier than finding/reporting one typo at a time in-game.

edit - done, it was riddled with typos. Not sure I got them all - i'll be sure to upload it when that functionality is there so it can be double-checked and then FWd to Eskil.

Yeah, is it possible to fix the "Grenade" token's name? It's spelled "Granade" currently, and the misspell just nags at me a bit, lol.

EDIT: Just saw zex had it covered...? Look forward to seeing how he did and possibly scrutinizing it, heh.

Does anyone know if the game supports unicode and strange languages such as Danish, with our ÆØÅ letters and such? If it does I don't mind helping out with a rough Danish translation of the game.

Flatline, not sure, try it and see

Neuro (Talis! Base builder extraordinaire) what do you mean by complete? Properly spelt out English or just expanded definitions?

I'll be adding the relevant files to this page http://www.gaminglove.net/index.php?...e_Translations And I'll have that page linked properly across the site soon.

There are some help dialogues which aren't of much help right now, some very general.

We can make help on game objects more specific or expanded, and of course change the spelling of things such as.... THE FORCE FEILD!!!.

OK, just wanted to clarify. It's not 100 % necessary right now as people are using the older clients that don't support the new translations.
I'll get a copy of the original file online, if anyone wants to send me the files they've worked on, that'd be great too. Either email or pm.

Some work still needs to be done on the descriptions to make them more clear, and need to unify the use of upper and lower case characters.

Default Re: Translation Files

I've finished about 30% of the translation to danish. Around where the tutorial sentences begin.

Haven't tested for Unicode ingame yet but I'm sure Eskil has either already added it (considering how he's a Swede and all ) or will add it at the request of the community.

If it helps at all, there are accented letters on the icon sheet that Eskil sent me.
Whether or not they're working is another matter, but it should be simple to test.

I'll get some more work done on the tutorial sentences, and start on the French version.
